The “Montessori method” consists of a carefully developed set of materials, which creates the proper environment for children at each stage of their development. Over sixty years of research and experience with children around the world has more than proved that Montessori education prepares children to read, write and calculate as easily and naturally as they learn to walk and talk.
Parents are encouraged to understand that Montessori is a unique method of learning designed to encourage the natural development of their children. They will have the advantage of starting their lifelong learning without drudgery, boredom or discouragement.
Based on the world renowned Montessori Philosophy and Methodology, our curriculum helps each child realize their full potential and introduces them to the joy of learning from the very first day. Individual need, interest, and capability of each child are taken into account in order to promote the educational, personal, and intellectual development of each child.
Problem solving, time management, self-motivation, confidence, and respect for others are both emphasized and nurtured.

Parkwood Montessori Academy in Plano, Texas was awarded BEST Day Care by WFAA Dallas A-List for two straight years (2009 and 2010) and has been nominated for a third straight (2011).

Lakeside Montessori Academy in The Colony, Texas was awarded with The Colony Courier Leader 2011 Reader’s Choice Award for Education and Childcare. LMA received 1st Place in the Preschool category and 1st Place in the Private School category.
